Careers at the National Museum of Finland

The National Museum of Finland is Finland’s national museum and an important cultural institution. We preserve the country’s oldest cultural history collections, comprising approximately half a million objects. We are an active nationwide organization, offering a diverse program of exhibitions, events, and activities for a broad audience. Our museums located across Finland include the National Museum, the Maritime Museum of Finland, the Seurasaari Open-Air Museum, Tamminiemi, Hvitträsk, Louhisaari Manor, Langinkoski, The Prison, Olavinlinna Castle and Häme Castle.

The National Museum of Finland employs professionals from a wide range of fields, including conservators, collection researchers, event producers, exhibition curators, museum technicians, museum shop specialists, and customer experience professionals. All open positions at the National Museum of Finland are published on the Finnish Heritage Agency’s website(ulkoinen linkki), and applications are generally submitted through the valtiolle.fi(ulkoinen linkki) recruitment portal. Summer job opportunities are often announced already at the end of the previous year. We also offer internship opportunities for students at various levels of education.
