History of Tamminiemi
Tamminiemi served as the official residence of Presidents Risto Ryti, C. G. E. Mannerheim, and Urho Kekkonen, and was the setting for many important political negotiations and decisions in Finnish history. Since 1987, Tamminiemi has operated as a museum, presenting especially the life of President Kekkonen and the history of independent Finland in an authentic historical setting.
