The mural on the wall combines an exotic banana tree with a Nordic spruce forest, creating a fairy-tale-like atmosphere. In fact, this room belonged to a daughter of the Mannerheim family in the early 19th century. In 1867, it is mentioned as Sophie Mannerheim’s room.
The nightstand and stools were crafted by Turku-based cabinetmaker A. J. Söderholm in the 1820s or 1830s and originate from Louhisaari. The tiled stove in the cave was later assembled from 18th-century scattered tiles.
