Located in the former main guard post in the southern outer wall building, the History of the Castle exhibition chronicles the colourful past of the castle and its inhabitants across the centuries. The exhibition also features never-before-seen items found in the castle.
The Riches of Häme living space provides a look at the history of the Häme region in light of metal detector findings and other discoveries. In the living space you can also browse the kyppi.fi service, which offers information about archaeological sites and built heritage. Also on display in the living space are the famed swords of the Janakkala swordsman.
The Weapons Room in the eastern tower room of the keep features an impressive display of weaponry from the Middle Ages to the early 17th century, including swords, spears, cannonballs and a crossbow.
